The Process
We teach you how to build construction programs from scratch.
In our live, interactive courses, you follow along on Microsoft Project on your computer as the presenter demonstrates every step that you need to build the program or the EOT.
We all start from the starting point program template and build our programs together. The instructor stops at regular intervals throughout the workshop to make sure everyone is at the same point in their program so no man or woman is left behind.
In the online workshops, you will have the presenter on one screen and your program on the other. If you don’t have 2 screens you can just split your screen to have the demo on one side and Microsoft Project on the other.
In the in-person workshops, the presenter has their screen on the big screen at the front of the room and everyone works on their own programs on their laptops around a boardroom table. The presenter gets up at regular intervals to check participants work and answer questions.
The workshops are light-hearted and fun. We make sure that they are not boring and monotonous and everyone stays engaged for the whole time.
Construction Programming 101
This is a great course for beginners or anyone wanting to go back to the basics.
Planning and programming is an essential skill for all construction personnel. We all need to be proficient in Microsoft Project and how we can use it to manage our projects.

A great course for people who have already done a bit of programming but would like to sharpen and develop their skills!
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to sharpen their programming skills.
Over the short 4-hour online workshop, we will help you develop the skills you already have and teach you some new ones. The workshop will have you programming quicker and more efficiently in no time (well, 2 hours). Starting with a program that has already been constructed, the course will start with a quick overview of the programming and programming principles. The participants will then learn how to produce a professional design and construct program, including:

Extension of Time Essentials
From first principals, you will learn what Superintendents want to see in an EOT and how to make it clear and easy to approve. You will learn how to prepare an EOT program using the Time Impact Analysis method. This is a method that you can use on most EOTS to clearly show the delay to the program and quantify the number of days you can claim.
Once the program is done, you will prepare the actual EOT claim in a way that will be very hard to knock back.
You will prepare delay impacted programs for the following delay types:
- Wet weather
- Latent condition
- Site access delay
- Concurrent delay
- Any specific delays you might have

101 Online Training
An online workshop where you will build your own construction Program from scratch !
Rather than just talking at you, we will teach you how to actually prepare a construction program from scratch. In this online workshop you will follow along with our brilliant trainer to build your own program. She will show you every step that you need to produce a professional program at a standard that can be used for tenders, reporting and management of jobs. Programming is an essential part of Construction Management. Having a good knowledge of Microsoft Project and construction programming will really set you apart from your colleagues!
Workshop format
The workshop starts with a quick tour of MS Project, showing you the features you will need to build your program. Then the fun really begins. You will start to build your program by learning the different ways to add tasks, give the tasks durations and logically link them together. Next, by learning to create summary tasks, you will break up your program into different sections. Now it will really start to take shape. Now you will be able can review the critical path and understand the float in the program. You will establish your working days by allocating a calendar and see where the Practical Completion milestone falls (the most important of all the milestones) You will then add some other important milestones, so it’s easy for your clients to read. All your program needs now, is some formatting to make sure that it is presented with impact. And voila! You have a kick ass program that will win that tender.
